Preston, Tennessee’s new Westside Pharmacy will open in “next couple or three months” and will “do something different”, the company announced.
Owner Mark Waugh said in a statement the store will “provide a quick, easy and convenient option for the patient to go from home to work or back home”.
“With a wide selection of products including home and prescription drugs, we will be able to give patients a quick and easy way to get their medication while also being in proximity to local businesses, community centres and schools.”
The store, which opened in November, is being designed to be accessible to people from different income brackets, Waugh told local news station WPTV.
“We are offering people a convenient way to access their medication and the pharmacy is equipped with the tools to do that,” he said.
“I think it’s a great place for people to go to get medication.”
Westside Pharmacies was established by Waugh in 2012.
It now employs 100 staff and is one of the largest pharmacy chains in the United States.
It has previously opened pharmacies in the state of Tennessee and Ohio, as well as a pharmacy in Georgia.
In a statement, the pharmacy’s founder said he was looking forward to “bringing the best in the pharmacy world to the community of Preston”.
