Posted April 19, 2019 10:06:33When you’re in a hurry and just need a quick fix, you may consider the pharmacy to be the safest place to get it.
But what are the actual health risks?
The pharmacy may not be a safe place to go to get a prescription, but it may be the most expensive option for many.
A new study conducted by the University of Minnesota Medical School has found that a pharmacy may actually increase your risk of hospitalizations for certain conditions, such as:*Cancers: People who use a pharmacy can have higher risk of certain types of cancer, especially for the thyroid.*Cancer prevention: People with a history of having certain types in their bodies may have increased risk of developing cancer.*Mental health: People in a pharmacy have an increased risk for depression.*The study was published in the Journal of Pharmacy Practice.
